  Leprosy Awareness Day Rally – Spreading Hope, Ending Stigma On the occasion of World Leprosy Awareness Day, our college proudly organized a Leprosy Awareness Rally with the aim of educating the public, spreading awareness, and breaking the stigma associated with this curable disease. Why Leprosy Awareness Matters Leprosy, also known as Hansen’s disease, is one of the oldest diseases known to mankind. Despite being completely curable, many myths, fear, and social stigma still surround it. Lack of awareness often leads to delayed diagnosis, disability, and social isolation for patients.  Republic Day Celebration at GNMCH, Namakkal The Republic Day celebration at Government Medical College Hospital (GNMCH), Namakkal was observed with great pride, dignity, and patriotic fervour. The event highlighted the importance of unity, discipline, and the constitutional values of our nation.  The reverent rendition of Tamil Thai Vaazhthu, paying tribute to our language and cultural heritage. The event formally commenced with a welcome speech, setting a respectful and enthusiastic tone for the celebration. The National Flag was hoisted by our respected Dean Sir, marking the significance of Republic Day. This was followed by the patriotic Kodi Paattu, which filled the atmosphere with national pride.
