Organ donation day

 


On behalf of Indian organ donation day celebration , various activities like poster presentations, slogans, rangoli ,short film and skits were performed to bring about awareness about organ donation on 27th july.

A rally on awareness about organ donation and its impact on saving lives , was conducted .Notice distribution was conducted regarding this rally on july 28 to the general public.



Not only did it bring awareness , it brought the concept of organ donation into new light and freed many people from myths and superstitions around it. 


The students from MBBS phase 2&3 , paramedical students  participated and made the day more special and memorable.

Posters

Art needs a creative mind and beautiful soul to bring out the beauty in every moment, and the teams have both , mixed with their dedication to reach out their message to the people, the poster's brought art to life.










Rangoli :

The idea is not to live forever, but may help another to live little longer. These colourful rangolis, the art pieces, portayed by our wonderful participants convey the message of organ donation which is a selfless act, and encourages people to donate their organs to complete the cycle of life by giving the gift of life.

Skit

One of the best and effective way to create an impact in  common people is through dramas and demonstrations, and our people pulled it through wonderfully using their acting skills and concepts .

The skit was a poignant reminder of the importance of live organ donation. It highlighted how a single decision can change the course of someone's life.The plot follows  a long lost twin who end up donating her kidney by a deep connection felt through friendship and their reunion. We hope that this skit inspires others to consider organ donation and gives hope to those waiting for a transplant.


The skits also highlighted the organs that can be donated, live donation , their viability period and procedure to enroll as donor in a simple and catchy way.

3rd place-Idhikasan and team


A recent skit performed by our group highlighted the importance of organ donation in a poignant and thought-provoking way. The story follows a healthy young man who meets with a tragic accident and loses his life. However, his death becomes a new lease of life for another person in need of a liver transplant.

Knowledge is power , quiz on organ donation was conducted to test the depth of information we acquired about organ donation.

Medicine is not only about human body , disease and treatment , medicos aren't just book worms , we have a director , actors , artists , athletes and many more hidden gems, time for the spotlight on Few of them.

When the pupils can do so much , can you imagine the masters? The faculties was a separate league on their own ! They have not only enlightened people through their practice but also through knowledge and setting an example for us to follow. 

Faculties also challenged themselves during the organ donation awareness day with various activities and shined like the guiding light! 



The events brought out the inner joy like a kid making drawings totally immersed in it and changed the life of monotonousity , a big thank you to the department of Community Medicine ,that we get to enjoy our life of younger versions again.
