 Breast feeding week On behalf of Breast weeding week,various activities like quiz and poster presentation were  conducted to bring awareness about breastfeeding from August 1 to August 7 by the Department of Pediatrics Quiz Prelims quiz was conducted for MBBS phase 2 and phase 3 students  out of which 4 teams of 2 participants each had been selected for final round of quiz which was conducted on August 2. First place - Sakthi bala.B.P and Pradeep.D.M Second place - Sowbharnika.E and Shornamalya.P Third place - Vaishnavi.V and Vidyasri.A The participants did so much efforts and did really well and won the prizes. Poster On August 6, the students came together for an exciting poster making competition, where 10 teams showcased their artistic skills and creativity. The event was a fantastic display of imagination, teamwork, and visual storytelling. " RAGGING DOESN'T BREAK THE ICE    IT BREAKS THE LIVES,CAREERS,FAMILIES" Ragging is considered as popular cult practice in colleges, hostels and other educational institutions, hailing the most socially accepted deliberate sadism. But ragging is actually a form of abuse and harassment that can cause serious harm to students Ragging can cause feelings of fear, anxiety, depression, and isolation. It can also damage a student's self-esteem and sense of security. Ragging is a punishable offense by law.  To stop this sadistic meaningless activity anti-ragging committees were established in every educational institutions to prevent the students from any form of ragging and to provide a peaceful learning environment.
