 Breast feeding week

On behalf of Breast weeding week,various activities like quiz and poster presentation were  conducted to bring awareness about breastfeeding from August 1 to August 7 by the Department of Pediatrics


Quiz




Prelims quiz was conducted for MBBS phase 2 and phase 3 students  out of which 4 teams of 2 participants each had been selected for final round of quiz which was conducted on August 2.

First place - Sakthi bala.B.P and Pradeep.D.M

Second place - Sowbharnika.E and Shornamalya.P

Third place - Vaishnavi.V and Vidyasri.A

The participants did so much efforts and did really well and won the prizes.


Poster

On August 6, the students came together for an exciting poster making competition, where 10 teams showcased their artistic skills and creativity. The event was a fantastic display of imagination, teamwork, and visual storytelling.





The teams, each consisting of 4 members,participated in the competition.The theme was “Closing the gap:Breastfeeding support for all.

The prizes were distributed on August 7.

Kudos to the Paediatrics department for pulling off this amazing breastfeeding week awareness program and to everyone who had part in making this a success!!

Organ donation day

  On behalf of Indian organ donation day celebration , various activities like poster presentations, slogans, rangoli ,short film and skits were performed to bring about awareness about organ donation on 27th july. A rally on awareness about organ donation and its impact on saving lives , was conducted .Notice distribution was conducted regarding this rally on july 28 to the general public. Pongal, a vibrant four-day harvest festival, honors the sun god, Surya, and the bounty of the land. Celebrated predominantly in Tamil Nadu, Pongal marks the beginning of the sun's journey towards the northern hemisphere, ushering in longer days and a new cycle of growth. The occasion of pongal was celebrated in our college on 22nd of January,2024 Esteemed chief Guests are our beloved College Dean Mam, Dr. Santha Arulmozhi, VP mam Dr. Kumudha and various faculties from various departments.
