                    Awareness rallies

As doctors we not only thrive for saving patients but also preventing mishaps in the first place , thus awareness rallies play an important role in that part of our profession. The awarness rallies takes place from police checkpost to the faculty block , with posters and slogans to highlight and help the message reach people.The various rallies are as follows,

                       ANTI SUICIDE DAY 




Anti-suicide day , celebrated on September 10th , with the theme " Changing the Narrative on Suicide" with the call to action "Start the Conversation" , imposing on  reducing the stigma around the topic of suicide and depression, Organised by our Department of Psychiatry.

                  PATIENT SAFETY DAY


Patient safety day , celebrated on September 17 ,  with this year theme on "improving diagnosis for patient safety" and slogan preeching "get it right, make it safe" reminding our responsibilities as a physician like a tap on the shoulder.  Organised by our Department of General surgery , the message reached the right destiny.

NATIONAL VOLUNTARY BLOOD  DONATION DAY



National voluntary blood donation day , celebrated on october 1st ,with theme Be different, donate blood , donate life.It celebrates our wonderful blood donors and their contribution in saving lives and celebrating life. 




The Blood donors from our college were appreciated and certificates were awarded for their noble act of blood donation and giving new chances in life to people who needed them. The event was organised by our Blood Bank Department.


 WORLD MENTAL HEALTH DAY




World mental health day , celebrated on October 10 is an important reminder to stay healthy by mind , mental health is usually taken for granted and thus is a need for all is to pause the fast pace and take a breather. The awarness rally consisted of slogans that reminded us it is okay to seek for professional help when needed and a healthy mind means healthy body. Organised by our Department of Psychiatry.

     BREAST CANCER AWARENESS MONTH




' Pinktober' - the month of breast cancer awareness , the rally to bring awareness about breast cancer was conducted on October 16 , organised by the department of General surgery and presided by our respected Dean mam , notices regarding breast examination and screening and symptoms of breast cancer were distributed to the public.



An event to educate the patients about self breast examination and importance of screening and mammogram by the speakers Dr.Keerthana assistant professor of department of General Surgery and Dr.Saravanan , Radiation Oncologist was conducted.

                  WORLD TRAUMA DAY



World trauma day , celebrated on october 17th , with this year theme "work place injuries prevention and management" and slogan of "lets heal and thrive together " . The rally was organised by department of Orthopaedics and oath to work with safety precautions was taken.

Organ donation day

  On behalf of Indian organ donation day celebration , various activities like poster presentations, slogans, rangoli ,short film and skits were performed to bring about awareness about organ donation on 27th july. A rally on awareness about organ donation and its impact on saving lives , was conducted .Notice distribution was conducted regarding this rally on july 28 to the general public. Pongal, a vibrant four-day harvest festival, honors the sun god, Surya, and the bounty of the land. Celebrated predominantly in Tamil Nadu, Pongal marks the beginning of the sun's journey towards the northern hemisphere, ushering in longer days and a new cycle of growth. The occasion of pongal was celebrated in our college on 22nd of January,2024 Esteemed chief Guests are our beloved College Dean Mam, Dr. Santha Arulmozhi, VP mam Dr. Kumudha and various faculties from various departments.
