NSS RALLY 2025

🩺 NSS Rally – A March Towards Health and Humanity

The spirit of social responsibility was once again ignited at NAMAKKAL Medical College as
organized a powerful and inspiring NSS Rally on 26 april organized by Psychiatry Department. The event brought together students, faculty members, and NSS volunteers to spread awareness about "DRUG ABUSE and DRUG TRAFFICKING"

On behalf of Department of Psychiatry, under the guidance of our beloved Dean Mam Dr.K.SANTHA ARULMOZHI  MAM,
Medical Superintendent Sir DR.R.GUNASEKRAN SIR,RMO, Professors, Associate Professors, ARMO, Faculties from various departments, Medical/Paramedical students and Nursing College students attended the program in large numbers.

"Drugs destroy lives. What begins as a moment of curiosity or peer pressure can quickly turn into addiction, tearing apart families, health, careers, and dreams."

Drug abuse weakens the body, clouds the mind, and steals away the future of countless young people.

Illicit drug trafficking fuels not only addiction but also violence, crime, and exploitation. It is a global menace that needs to be stopped at every level-production, sale, and consumption.
Each one of us has a role to play. Say no to drugs. Stay informed. Support your friends and family. And most importantly, speak up when you see someone struggling-because silence helps no one.

One hit can ruin a life. Say NO before it's too late.”

🗣️ Student Engagement

The rally witnessed enthusiastic participation from  all the students,   marched in unison, raising slogans that echoed with the public. Some of the impactful chants included:

1 போதையை தொடாதே சாதனை படைப்போம்.

2. மேதையை அழிக்கும் போதையை ஒழிப்போம்!!

3 போதை பொருட்களை ஒழிப்போம் மனித மாண்பை காப்போம்!

4 போதையின் பாதை தவிர்,கல்வி என்னும் பாதையால் நிமிர்!!

🚫 Drug Addiction – A Silent Epidemic

Drug addiction is one of the most pressing public health crises of our time. It silently destroys lives, families, and futures — particularly affecting youth and adolescents. The NSS Rally organized by NAMAKKAL Medical College  brought attention to this growing threat, urging students and communities to take a strong stand against substance abuse.

This event was not just about one day of service — it was about planting seeds of lifelong responsibility, empathy, and leadership. With the guidance of faculty and the strong leadership of our NSS Secretaries, the rally inspired everyone to become active citizens and compassionate human beings.

As we move forward, let us carry the spirit of NSS in our hearts and actions — always ready to serve, always ready to lead, and always committed to making a difference.

“Don’t let drugs control your future. Choose health, choose life.”
We walked not for miles,
But for change.
With every step,
We lit a flame.

A flame of health, of hope, of truth,
A call to every heart in youth.
To serve, to lead, to raise the voice,
To stand for good — by conscious choice.

This rally may now reach its end,
But service is a path that does not bend.
We carry forward what we’ve begun,
For change is built by everyone.

we will speak up for what’s right, stand beside those in need, and carry forward the true essence of the NSS — selfless service.

Through events like these, students are not only learning how to heal the body but also how to touch lives with service...
