NGMCH INDEPENDENCE DAY CELEBRATION

On August 15,1947, India was free; free from the exploitation by the British, free to accomplish whatever they desire , and free to think about their future. This day marks a turning point in the rich and diverse history of India, and the chain of events that alter the rest of the countries economic development.

The beginning:

In our college, the one and only NGMCH, we see the students, the professors and the doctors with their heads high, their hearts filled with pride and determination in their eyes .

We started the event with hoisting the flag, which is of utter significance in today’s world, where everyone’s forgetting the importance of such events.

Speech by the Dean of NGMCH

The event is then followed with a speech by our esteemed dean ma’am, whose apt and encouraging words fueled the passion and the need for the country to thrive and prosper among the students.

Keynotes from Dr Rajkumar

We then hear a few keynotes from our favourite professor Dr Rajkumar, who inspired to be patriotic and civil.

A speech in Tamil by Nancika Singh

There is a famous quote: “Try and try until you succeed”. This quote could be applied for our Literature Secretary, Nancika Singh, who had successfully delivered a speech about our nation’s Independence Day in Tamil, even though she found it hard at first. It is a sign and a symbol that people of different states unite together to savour the victory.

Unity among diversity:Singing Vande Mataram

Vande Mataram is of immense cultural significance to our people and the society. Our Dermatology HOD, Dr Karthika, chanted Vande Mataram, and the students partook in this, creating a sense of blissful harmony in the air.

Acknowledgements:

In order to acknowledge the efforts made by the staff and the peers, Dean ma’am felicitated them with certificates, which leaves an everlasting impression and a sense of gratitude.

An epic conclusion: Jana Gana Mana

Finally, we conclude this miraculous event by chanting our eternal national anthem: Jana Gana Mana. This was a sight and a sound to behold and to admire in awe, as every Indian citizen would feel this, deep down in their hearts.

This is it for now, brought to you by the Literature Secretaries of NGMCH.

UNTIL NEXT TIME.
